I'm probably the last person on earth to do this, but I recently added Jake Munson's CFFormProtect library to my blog. Why oh why didn't I do this six months ago? Oh yeah, because I'm really busy heh. But better late than never, especially when the result is ZERO blog spam!
I normally got between 5 and 10 comment spam notifications a day. Which I immediately deleted, but it forced me to enable comment moderation on the blog. Well, moderation is off now, and I'm thrilled to say no spam has come in yet. I absolutely love the idea of some person wasting time trying to spam my comments and failing every time. It brings a smile to my face. An evil smile.
Anyway, in case I am NOT the last person on earth to do this, and YOU are, then update your blog to include it. As a bonus, if you're on BlogCFC, the latest version includes it for you. One of these days I need to get back to the latest build of BlogCFC (right now mine has a number of tweaks, like using the Google SyntaxHighlighter).

No, you are not the last person to use it. :) But I'm glad it's helping you. Let me know if you find any problems.

@Brian,
I can second that! My blog is fairly new still, but I never turned on comment moderation and have yet to see one single comment spam. Thanks, Jake!
Also, curious about your implementation of Google Syntax Highlighter in BlogCFC, as I've been thinking of switching to that myself. The docs caution about angle brackets when using the pre tag implementation. An alternative is a textarea implementation, but that's not so nice in RSS feeds. I'm wondering if I could apply a simple hack to BlogCFC to leverage the htmlEditFormat() that I assume is used for the [code] tag block in BlogCFC. Can you share any insight regarding your implementation (feel free to contact me directly if that makes more sense)?
Thanks,
Jamie

@Brian - Dude, I'm so far behind you. I'm on BlogCFC version 1979 without cfformprotect. I've downloaded the project from RIAForge and plan to either install it standalone or download the latest BlogCFC. Don't feel bad, there's an army of folks who haven't done this. Probably. =)
